Making our meetings work.
Many team members work at home now. Video meetings are easy to schedule. Video trainings. Video get-togethers. And video chats.
While video meetings are good for team bonding, they aren’t a substitute for actually talking with prospects. It’s easy to feel like we’re building our businesses by having a lot of meetings, when really we’re just avoiding talking to prospects.
So what can we do to make our video meetings actually contribute to our businesses?
Have goals for the meetings.
Here is an example of a planned meeting.
Welcome new team members.
Recognition to some attendees.
One minute of new announcements.
One new tip or skill we can use immediately.
Get a commitment from meeting participants to use the tip or skill when the meeting is over.
This is an example, but it shows a clear plan. Without a plan, the meeting can drag on and suck the life out of the attendees.
How to get more great prospects.
Some prospects can’t wait to hear what we offer. Their needs and wants are so huge that even if we are incompetent, they will join or buy. It feels good to talk to these prospects.
Unfortunately, we may not know any of these prospects.
The good news is that other people do know these prospects. Everyone knows 200 people we don’t. Out of those 200 people, there will be four or five that desperately want what we have to offer.
So for everyone we meet, let’s ask this question: "Who do you know with [this problem], who really wants to fix it?" Then have them point us to that person.
Some examples:
"Who do you know who wants to lose weight, and keep it off forever?"
"Who do you know who hates commuting, and wants to permanently work from home?"
"Who do you know who hates overpaying, and wants a lower electricity rate?"
"Who do you know who can’t afford a new car, but is willing to work to get a free car?"
"Who do you know who hates chemicals, and wants to make their home life safer and more natural?"
How to follow up without rejection. There is an old saying, "The fortune is in the follow-up." Unfortunately, old sayings won’t help us unless we do something about it. Yes, we have to take action. But how? Two quick solutions. #1. Read this book: How to Follow Up With Your Network Marketing Prospects: Turn Not Now Into Right Now! You can get the ebook, the paperback version, or the audiobook. Here is the link: https://bigalbooks.com/book/followup/
#2. Schedule a free 30-minute fun Zoom class for your team on how to follow up. Simply send an email to Keith to schedule the class. Email:
