🦃Favorite Thanksgiving recipes, apple cider pancakes, a fun healthy cooking hack and more...

Here are my 5 things for you this week!

1. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I've got all sorts of healthy family-favorite recipes for you! From pecan pie, to gluten-free stuffing, to sweet potato casserole - there's something for everyone to enjoy!


2. Soaked brown rice is a simple dish, and whenever I make it for friends they always ask for my recipe, so I thought I'd share it with you!


3. Here's a fun cooking hack: If you heat maple syrup to 225 degrees F, it will have the same consistency as corn syrup and can be used as a healthier swap in your holiday recipes. ​ Here's how I do this: If a recipe calls for 1 cup of corn syrup, I will simmer 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon of maple syrup until it reaches 225F. I pour it into a separate bowl to cool and then use in place of corn syrup.


4. Zinc plays a vital role in our bodies, but more than a billion people are deficient. Learn about what causes zinc deficiency, plus get natural remedies.​


5. Apple Cider Pancakes are a great way to kick off your morning!
