Good day Great One, FEAR is the number one obstacle that stops people from achieving their goals. It doesn’t matter how talented they are. It doesn’t matter how dissatisfied they are with their lives. People continue to trudge along living a life they weren’t meant to live because they are afraid. Many people are afraid to take the first step. They are afraid to break out of old habits. They are afraid of rejection, and they are afraid of failure. Whenever the mere idea of changing their lives comes up, they instantly shoot it down. They get uncomfortable and squirm around in their seats, just thinking about what it would take to change their lives. I want you to honestly ask yourself if YOU are afraid. Are your fears holding you back? Are they keeping you from reaching your goals? Are they keeping you from even exploring your options? Everyone you know is afraid of something. It doesn’t matter how fearless they seem. It doesn’t matter what they’ve accomplished. Everyone has something that scares them. It could be a fear of heights, public speaking, commitment ... anything. Your fears are causing you to choose a safe path which may not, in fact, be safe. It’s time to change how you respond to fear - and it’s time to be courageous. It’s okay to be scared. The difference between someone who is courageous and someone who isn’t, though, is that someone who is courageous will fight through their fears. You see, courage isn’t fearlessness. Courage is being afraid, and TAKING ACTION ANYWAY! I’m still afraid of failure. The difference is, I don’t let this fear deter me anymore. Instead, I look at my fears and I KNOW that I am stronger than them. I know that I can defeat them. Don’t be afraid of being afraid. Be afraid of giving up. Be afraid of failing to give it your all. That is the only real failure. It’s only when you give up hope and stop trying that you actually fail. Have courage. Look at your fears, be afraid, and face them anyway. No matter what, you’ll come out stronger and smarter than when you went in. You’ll have learned a valuable lesson, and you’ll have pushed yourself to your limits. You’ll be able to hold your head high knowing that fear didn’t stop you from working toward your goals. When you mix this courage with true grit, you’ll be unstoppable! Be courageous, face your fears - and be gritty. Keep pushing through, no matter how hard it seems. You’ll see exponential growth. Franklink Roosevelt said, “There’s Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself" This is one of my favorite quotes. There is nothing as scary as what you make up in your own mind. When you start standing up to your fears, you’ll find that they are a lot smaller than you would have imagined. Over time, your resolve becomes stronger, and you become more courageous. You start to look at fears as challenges to overcome, and you start to take pride in your grit and your ability to push forward, even when things seem impossible. Remember what F.E.A.R. stands for: False Evidence Appearing Real. Your fears are usually based on a bias that is unfounded. They only appear real. In reality, they are obstacles waiting for you to overcome them, and they are growth opportunities waiting for you to take advantage of them. It’s okay to be afraid. It’s not okay to run from these fears. Face your fears head on, and show them that you are stronger. You are POWERFUL and you WILL overcome! Remember, you have something special, You have GREATNESS in you.
